Docketlight keeps this website simple on purpose. This page explains the little information it involves.

What this site collects

• No cookies, analytics or tracking. This site does not set cookies, run analytics, use advertising pixels, or embed third-party trackers.
• No forms. There is no contact form. If you email us, your email program sends the message directly.
• Fonts and images are served from this site. We don’t load fonts or scripts from outside services.
• Hosting logs. Like any website, our hosting provider may automatically record basic technical information (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don’t use these logs to identify or profile visitors.

If you email us

When you write to hello@docketlight.com, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it only to reply, schedule a consult, and follow up on your request. We don’t sell or rent your information, and we don’t add you to a mailing list without your permission.

Please don’t send confidential client information by email before we’ve agreed to work together and signed a confidentiality agreement.

Client engagements

Information we handle while working with a firm is covered by that firm’s engagement terms and NDA, not by this website notice.

Retention and your choices

We keep correspondence only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law. You can ask us to delete your emails or tell you what we hold about you by writing to hello@docketlight.com.

Links to other sites

This site links to outside sources, such as court rules and bar publications. Those sites have their own privacy practices.

Changes

If this notice changes, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
